Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) has been used for centuries in ceremonial and contemplative contexts. Traditionally prepared as a tea or infusion, it is most often associated with evening use, relaxation, and introspective states.
Context & Tradition
Revered in ancient Egypt for its association with the sun god Ra and the concept of rebirth. It was believed to facilitate connection with the divine and was frequently used in rituals to reach higher levels of consciousness.
Preparation
Add 1 teaspoon of petals to a cup and fill with hot water. Allow to steep for 10-15 minutes, then strain. Can also be infused in wine for a traditional preparation.
